How a Hot Tub is Made
The Hot tub assembly line
The completed shell of the hot tub is now ready
to be married to a trolley to be entered onto the production line. The
first stage of the “fitting
out process” is to drill all the necessary apertures in the tubs
walls for the jets and controls to be fitted. This is done using a
diamond tipped rotary drill cutter to within 1/10th of a centimetre
by a shell technician.
The technician will, at this point, fit all the water,
air jets and lighting as specified by the customer. He will then attach
these jets to a pre assembled water and air loom that is connected to
the associated manifolds. These looms are pipe work that has been calculated
by a hydro physicist to have measured pressure at each of the water
and air jets. Now that the hot tub is visually complete all that is left
to do is install the heart, lungs and brain of the hot tub (Pump, Air
Blower and Control panel). This is done by a electrical engineer and
then tested toughly using state of the art computer testing equipment.
