Why are your hot tubs more affordable than other hot tubs on the market?
This is a question we often get asked as customer think that reduced price = reduced quality. We assure you this is not the case. Our hot tubs are constructed using the same pumps jets and controls (Aquaflo, Waterway & Balboa) that you will find in 90% of hot tubs on the market. The reason that we can afford to offer these top grade components in a more modestly priced hot tub is because our hot tubs are constructed using the latest rotational molding technology. This means our hot tubs are made in a large mould in one piece of plastic eliminating the need for any man hours of construction. This obviously saves a lot of money in labour plus has the added benefit of eliminating human error in construction. It also means that there is no wood metal or fiberglass that will eventually rot rust of delaminate, given time.

How much does a Hot Tub cost?
Hot tubs range from as little as £1,000 for an Soft skinned model to as much as £15,000 for a top of the range one. Hot Tubs 2 Buy's hot tubs are a middle of the range option offering features and build quality of the top end hot tubs without the price to match! This is achieved through the simple yet effective rotary molding process used in our hot tubs.

What should I look for in a Hot Tub shell?
First of all your hot tub should be suited to our climate in the UK. Its all very well getting a hot tub designed for use in tropical climates but the inevitable will happen, and it will rain in the UK. Your new hot tub should be able to stand up to it. Most hot tubs sold in the UK are made of fibreglass with a metal frame with wood cladding. Fibreglass does not stand up well to frost and can be prone to cracking. Metal will eventually rust away and wood cladding will rot. All of Hot Tubs 2 Buy's tubs are made from one piece of highly durable plastic that will not crack, and is engineered to be self supporting eliminating the need for a metal frame. Most people want their hot tub to blend into the environment in which it is placed. HotTubs2Buy's hot tubs can be customised using decking to match the surrounding or our optional cladding.

What should I look for in a Hot Tubs cover?
Insulation is vital for a hot tub, HotTubs2Buy supplies our hot tubs with a Semi rigid highly insulating cover made from durable marine grade vinyl which would normally be an option of many hundred of pounds with some other companies.

How many jets are there? Do they adjust? Do they turn on and off? Can you remove them for servicing? Does the Tub have underwater lights?
HotTubs2Buy's hot tubs are fitted with high quality jets that are all fully adjustable for direction, on and off, air on and off, and are fully removable. Most of our hot tubs also all come with underwater lights and some models have multicoloured lights with a disco light setting (see individual spec for details).

What's the warranty on your hot tubs?
HotTubs2buy’s solid hot tubs come with a full onsite warranty. Hot tubs contain very little complex mechanics so there is very little to go wrong, however should a tub fail, most parts are kept in stock or are easily available. For details of the indidivudual models please see our warranties page here

How much does a hot tub cost to run?
This figure varies greatly between manufacturers, As a price guide our solid sided hot tubs should cost between £1 - £1.50p a day to run based on electrcity prices in . You may find some manufacturers are quoting figures far lower than these however we have run tests here in the UK and do not wish to manipulate figures. This is cheaper than most mobile phone contracts with far more enjoyment! This figure can of course be less or more depending on how often the tub is used and the outside temperature.

What sort of electrical requirements must the Hot tubs supply comply to?
Always check with a qualified electrician. However all will need to be wired with RCD and armored cable sized to the number of amps your hot tub will consume. Normally between 13 and 32. It is recommended that our hot tubs are wired by a professional electrician (Part P Qualified) into the main circuit breaker in the house.

What base must the Hot Tub be put on?
All of HotTubs2Buy’s hot tubs are self supporting an can be situated on almost anything as long as it is level and can support the weight of the hot tub. Baring in mind that a hot tub full of water can weigh upwards of a Ton and even more with a full bather load. A 6" concrete base with re-inforcing mesh will support this (simlar to that of a shed), however to site the tub on a deck you will need to seek advice from a structrual engineer.

Can I sink the Tub into the Patio Or Deck?
Because the Watestream range of hot tubs have no metal or wood in them they lend themselves very favorably compared to the competition for sinking in. There are some things that need to be considered. Firstly drainage is vital as you don’t want the hole in which the hot tub is situated filling up with water as there is electronics in the base of the hot tub that could get damaged and invalidate your warranty. Secondly you need to have access to the service door on the hot tub so that the pumps an internals can be maintained. There is a lip all the way around our compatible waterstream hot tubs to enable you to build the hot tubs rim flush to the top of your patio or deck.

How Often Does The Hot Tubs water need to be changed?
Typically, a hot tub needs to be drained every 2-3 months. This is however just an estimate as a number of factors including how often the hot tub is used, chemical balance etc. Please see our learning centre for more information.

How easy is a Hot Tub to maintain?

In the Summer can the heater be turned off so that the hot tub can be used as a "splash pool"?
Our hot tubs can be used as a splash pool to cool down in the summer and all have digital thermostats so you can set the precise temperature you want the hot tub at. This ranges from 0 to 40 degrees centigrade. You could not switch the hot tub completely off as the filter cycle would still need to run however the cost of running the hot tub would be minimal as the heater would not be used.

Can I put a hot tub in a conservatory ?
Yes you can, however, there are a couple of things you need to make provision for. Firstly a floor drain is essential as water will spill over. Secondly any walls that are to be plastered I.e the outside house wall should be painted with bathroom and kitchen paint. Any blinds that are up should be resistant to moisture as condensation will rise from the tub. Also an electric fan vent is a good idea to help with the moisture.
